Full-Time Assistant Corporate Controller

The Assistant Corporate Controller reports to the Corporate Controller.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Manage preparation, review, and timely completion of monthly external financial statements.
• Prepare financial statements, footnotes, MD&A analysis, and disclosures compliant with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements.
• Perform monthly closing activities, including variance analysis, account reconciliations, and accounting entries.
• Oversee accounting for areas like foreign currency, debt, pensions, and warranties.
• Support SEC filings, proxy statements, and current reports (8-K).
• Review disclosure checklists and questionnaires for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide technical accounting guidance related to transactions and company policies.
• Oversee preparation and review of technical white papers.
• Oversee updating and review of Accounting Policy Manual.
• Ensure processes are supported by a strong internal control environment.
• Serve as a consultant to financial managers and internal audit on controls and risks.
• Document control deficiencies and ensure appropriate management responses.
• Oversee timely receipt of audit documentation from auditors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
• CPA certification
• Public accountant experience
• 7+ years of work experience
• Understanding of GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley Act
• Analytical and communication skills (oral & written)
