Guardant Health has an exciting new opportunity for an Associate Director, Healthcare Compliance, to join our Commercial Legal & Compliance team to support our new Screening Division.
This new position will have dual responsibilities: legal counsel overseeing day-to-day contract matters and compliance advisor to stakeholders within the Screening Division.
The position will work closely with the Chief Compliance Officer, the Privacy Officer, and a lean compliance team to ensure compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements for the promotion and sale of medical services.
Experience required: Healthcare organization experience providing legal advice on contractual arrangements with referral sources. Specific prior experience in the development/deployment of compliance programs, including all seven elements of the OIG recommended program for clinical laboratories.
Essential duties include: providing specialized legal counsel and strategic advice on a wide range of compliance issues, reviewing/revising/negotiating contracts, developing a keen awareness of risks associated with product marketing, and drafting/implementing policies.
Key skills required: extensive knowledge of federal & state laws (False claims act, Starks Law, EKRA, Antikickback statute, anti-bribery and corruption) & industry requirements, experience implementing compliance policies.
Additional requirements: J.D. with at least 5 years of experience in a healthcare legal department or law firm; certification in Healthcare Fraud & Abuse Law Compliance preferred; strong contract negotiation & drafting skills; familiarity with various commercial arrangements.
Compensation: US base salary range $191,510 to $263,330, Palo Alto/Redwood City range $225,300 to $309,800. Details specific to factors (location, experience) will be shared during hiring process.
Work model: Hybrid, with defined in-person/onsite days and work-from-home days.
