Bid and Planning Officer will manage and oversee bid preparation for projects, procurement, and contracts. The role also contributes to strategic planning within the company, ensuring competitive and accurate bids align with business goals and operational plans.
- Bid Management:
- Lead and coordinate tender submissions, ensuring requirements are met and deadlines adhered to.
- Collaborate with departments (e.g., business development, finance, legal, operations) for bid preparation information.
- Develop bid documentation (cost estimates, technical specs, compliance checks).
- Analyze competitive environments and market conditions to develop effective bid strategies.
- Ensure the bid aligns with company capabilities, compliance, and financial goals.
- Planning and Strategy:
- Contribute to business plan and strategic initiative development.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and markets.
- Support long-term business development goals through tactical and strategic projects.
- Monitor industry trends, competitors, and market changes to maintain competitiveness.
- Cost Estimation and Financial Analysis:
- Conduct cost analyses and develop pricing strategies with finance teams.
- Assess bid financial viability and ensure profitability while remaining competitive.
- Develop detailed financial models for bidding projects.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of bid submissions (documentation, proposals, feedback).
- Track and report on bid status, success rates, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare post-bid analysis and reports to identify lessons learned.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Liaise with external stakeholders (clients, suppliers, contractors) to clarify requirements and ensure alignment.
- Facilitate internal communication to ensure smooth bid execution and project planning.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure all bid processes comply with legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
- Assess and mitigate risks related to contract terms, financial arrangements, and project execution.
Schedule: Pacific Time, 8-hour shift, Monday-Friday
Pay: Php 35,000 - 60,000
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field. Master's degree or project management certifications (e.g., PMP) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in bid management, planning, project management, business development, and procurement management.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of tendering processes, contract management, Microsoft Office Suite, bid management software, analytical skills (financial modeling, cost estimation), excellent communication and negotiation skills, strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Construction Plan Reading: Ability to read construction plans (e.g., civil, electrical) preferred.
- Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented, accurate, ability to work under pressure, strategic thinker focused on long-term goals and continuous improvement.
