Full-Time Book Design - WFH

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Book Designer to format and design professional-quality eBooks and Print Books. The candidate must be skilled in Google Docs, Microsoft Word, and Canva, with a strong understanding of formatting principles, layout consistency, and publishing standards.

Your role will be to transform raw content into visually polished and reader-friendly books, both digital and print-ready.

1. Format and arrange text and images using Google Docs, MS Word, and Canva
2. Design and structure Table of Contents / Index Pages with proper linking (for eBooks) and clean layout (for print books)
3. Apply consistent formatting: fonts, headings, spacing, paragraph styles, line heights, and alignment
4. Insert and customize Headers & Footers (e.g., page numbers, chapter titles, brand elements)
5. Add watermarks (logos or text) as per branding and copyright requirements
6. Properly position and format images, tables, and graphics to enhance visual appeal
7. Prepare and export PDFs for digital sharing and print-ready PDFs with correct margins, bleeds, and resolution
8. Ensure the design meets publishing standards and maintains brand consistency
9. Collaborate with writers, editors, and marketers to ensure accurate and timely delivery

Tools & Deliverables:

• Tools Required: Google Docs, Google Workspace, Microsoft Word, Canva (Adobe Acrobat - optional)
• Final Deliverables:
  • PDF for digital use (eBook)
  • Print-ready PDF (with bleed/margins for paperback)
  • Source files (Google Doc links, DOCX, Canva design links)

Required Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Google Docs, MS Word, and Canva
• Understanding of eBook and print formatting standards
• Excellent eye for layout, visual balance, and typography
• High attention to detail and ability to follow brand guidelines
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on time
• Basic knowledge of PDF optimization and export techniques
