We're looking for a meticulous Bookkeeper to manage our financial records and support our team with precision and care. Our ideal candidate has superb numerical literacy and fantastic attention to detail. They excel in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing detailed financial reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. They are proactive in budget management and can identify and address financial issues promptly. With a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach, they’ll tackle financial challenges with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
Your role
- Maintain our financial records for our multiple entities (the UK and Netherlands for now) and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Manage accounts payable by ensuring supplier payments are reconciled, tracked, and paid on time
- Oversee accounts receivable including invoicing, producing statements for clients and business partners, and following up on overdue accounts
- Prepare and stay current with tax and compliance reporting
- Support senior management in preparing budgets and financial forecasts
- Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure financial processes align with overall business goals
What we’re looking for
- A qualified accountant (ACCA or equivalent)
- Past bookkeeping experience maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable/receivable, and preparing financial statements
- Past experience preparing detailed financial reportsGood knowledge of current accounting tools (specifically Xero)
- An evidenced ability to analyse financial data and provide clear financial insights
- Superb numerical literacy skills and fantastic attention to detail
- Proactivity: you can think on your feet and take initiative to identify and resolve financial challenges
What would be great (but isn’t required)
- Experience in financial consolidation across international entities
- Experience in travel or a high growth startup
- A desire to drive efficiency and automation in processes
- Advanced Excel or Airtable skills
- Past experience in ensuring compliance with financial regulations
