About the Role
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is a targeted, commissioned role working on the new business team in the Americas region. Your job will be to source and qualify Leads converting them into Sales Qualified Opportunities (SQO) that the Sales Team can then close by identifying Budget, Authority, Need, and Timeframe. You will be responsible for sourcing and managing a list of leads to create new opportunities with a variety of businesses.
You will form trusted relationships with Leadership, Sales, Channel, Customer Success, Marketing and your Business Development Representative peers.
You will have a monthly SQO target. Your commission will be based upon the quantity of SQOs you pass to the Sales team that are accepted.
To succeed in this role, you will need to be self-motivated, competitive, and knowledgeable. As with many BDR roles, the most successful reps are able to identify the problem to solve, using solution selling in the initial pitch to prospects. There will be a high volume of leads to work from so we’d love for you to bring your organized, structured business development process to the team.
You'll work the Leads in your name in the CRM quickly and efficiently. Time on the phone speaking to prospects is a critical success indicator. Conversations will relate to the Prospect's email, SMS, and multichannel marketing automation needs, so awareness of marketing principles and strategies is a big bonus.

Skills & Experience
- 1-2 years of experience in a professional environment (experience in a sales role or public speaking preferred)
- 4 year Bachelor’s degree preferred and a plus
- Experience using tools such as Microsoft Dynamics, Salesloft, Zoominfo, etc
- A general understanding of the Ecommerce Landscape, SaaS, or Marketing Technology is a plus
