We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Buyer (Structural/Data Center) to join our thriving global team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement of steel, aluminum, and other materials required for the construction of data centers. The role requires a detail-oriented professional who has a deep understanding of production planning, demand planning, materials, and fulfillment. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, where you will be pivotal in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials for our projects.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently manage the procurement process for structural materials such as steel and aluminum, essential for the construction of data centers.
• Utilize Salesforce to manage supplier relationships, track orders, and maintain accurate records of all procurement activities.
• Collaborate closely with the design and construction teams to understand project specifications and requirements.
• Develop and implement efficient demand planning strategies to ensure the availability of materials as per project timelines.
• Oversee the production planning process, coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Ensure all procurement activities adhere to industry regulations and company policies.
• Monitor market trends and perform cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Manage and resolve any issues related to order fulfillment.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts to achieve the best price and delivery schedule.
• Work in a bilingual environment, effectively communicating with international suppliers and stakeholders.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role. Management experience is a plus.
• Proven experience in managing the procurement of structural materials such as steel and aluminum.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, demand planning, and fulfillment processes.
• Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM software.
• Bilingual, with excellent communication skills in both English and another language.
• Strong negotiation skills, with a proven track record of securing favorable terms.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to perform cost analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Strong understanding of industry regulations and procurement policies.
