AECOM has a position available for a Civil/Structural Designer to support our growing Energy Practice.
AECOM offers the flexibility to work remotely and/or be located at a variety of Energy offices across the United States.
Our team provides civil and structural engineering services across various markets, including electrical transmission and distribution, renewables, industrial process, and building decarbonization.
We seek an enthusiastic individual to develop technical skills for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Works under general supervision.
- Performs drafting assignments (routine and non-routine), scaling, and editing using CAD software.
- Digitizes or traces sketches/concepts using CADD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation).
- Decisions based on procedures and company policies.
- Follows established procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS + 2 years experience or equivalent.
Preferred Requirements:
- Associate's degree in CAD, Drafting, or related field.
- 3-5 years experience as a CAD Technician.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Strong 3D modeling and 2D drafting skills.
- Excellent technical drawing and blueprint interpretation abilities.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
- Experience with project management tools.
- Understanding of design principles and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of material properties and specifications.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Relevant CAD software certifications (preferred).
