AECOM's Water Business Line seeks a telecommute Senior Designer specializing in grading and earthwork design. This technical role involves working with engineers and project managers on various projects in the Dams, Mining, and Water Resources markets.
Responsibilities include:
- Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D (release 2024, focusing on surface modeling).
- Understanding dam grading design, surface modeling for embankments (earth-fill, rockfill, concrete), quarries, spillways, and more.
- Knowledge of mine grading design, surface modeling for tailing facilities, embankments, and site development.
- Expertise in site development, access roads, drainage, slope stabilization, and related tasks.
- Preparing calculations for earthwork quantities, reservoir capacity, and tailing storage.
- Processing data sources (LiDAR, surveys, DEMs) to create base surfaces.
- Understanding coordinate systems and data transformation.
- Developing design criteria from general direction.
- Managing survey and client data throughout the project lifecycle.
Minimum Requirements: BA/BS + 4 years' experience or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications: Strong technical progression in civil engineering and design. Field and survey experience is a plus.
