Job Details
AECOM is seeking a talented Civil Engineer, with an emphasis on water conveyance and water resources, to remotely support our Northern California Water Resources/Conveyance team based in Oakland, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for a variety of water infrastructure related projects.
- Create and provide guidance for designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings.
- Perform work with little supervision.
- Propose approaches to solve new problems.
- Identify discrepancies in outcomes, results, and analysis of engineering tasks.
- Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
- Perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
- Provide in-person guidance and mentorship to junior-level engineers.
- Provide assistance with workload forecasting and management.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related discipline and 6+ years of related experience. Valid U.S. Driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years’ experience in design of water infrastructure projects.
- Master's Degree in Civil, Environmental or related engineering field.
- Proficiency with design software including but not limited to AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, ArcGIS, WaterCAD.
- Experience with project management
