Full-Time Civil Engineering Specialist - REMOTE

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineering Specialist for a Federal Client in the DC Metro Area.

The specialist will be the senior technical resource and technical advisor for the team throughout multiple projects' lifecycles.

1. Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for the candidate's area of expertise.
2. Develops study and design procedures for high-quality, cost-effective work by others.
3. Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
4. Develops construction cost estimates and technical effort estimates for projects.
5. Uses expertise in all steps of completing the discipline component of the PS&E package.
6. Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
7. Prepares technical specification sections.
8. Identifies opportunities for effective and efficient cost savings for the client.
9. Serves as a fully capable professional with minimal direction.
10. Communicates and collaborates with the full design team and client to ensure client needs are met.
11. Conducts interdisciplinary review of project deliverables and develops estimates of technical efforts for projects.
12. Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of the assignment.

Minimum Requirements:

• BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Requirements:

• 10 years' experience in the field
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust Federal Security Clearance
• LEED Accredited Professional
• OSHA 10
• Experience with Wastewater, Roadways, SUE, Telecom & Natural Gas
• Experience with GSA/Federal Projects
