As a member of the Product & Commercial Legal Services Team, this team member will provide high-quality commercial contract support to Sandisk's Procurement Organization, including negotiation and administration of commercial agreements and collaboration with internal stakeholders and partners. This full-time position will report to the Senior Legal Counsel, Global Commercial Contracts, and is based at Sandisk's office in Milpitas, California or Irvine, California, or Remote (Pacific hours). Responsibilities include:
- Independently draft, review, negotiate, and finalize a wide variety of commercial contracts, including, but not limited to, non-disclosure agreements, professional services agreements, purchase agreements, engagement letters, statements of work, amendments, and other business/legal documents.
- Support and collaborate with internal stakeholders to advise on risks associated with each transaction while ensuring compliance to company policies
- Work closely with commercial contracts attorneys within the Product & Commercial Legal Services Team and various teams within the Legal Department.
- Work on special projects, as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant transactional experience in an in-house legal department drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements.
- Significant experience directly managing and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Strong understanding of commercial and legal contract terms.
- Experience working in (or with) technology companies or in the technology industry is preferred.
- Self-starter who takes ownership of work and demonstrates the ability to work independently and collaboratively with others in a team environment.
- Ability to effectively identify goals and communicate and identify risks and proposed go-forward strategies with internal business clients.
- Strong attention to details and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
- Track record of providing high-quality, timely results on a wide variety of contract matters.
- Experience with contract management lifecycle (CLM) solutions.
- JD is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) preferred.
