About the role: As a Conduct Specialist, you will be responsible for the supervision of our Financial Institution clients. This will include periodic reviews, assessments, and remediation of our clients’ conduct frameworks. The role reports into the Senior Conduct Manager.
Key responsibilities:
- Performing conduct assessments on clients relating to products, fair value, customer support, and customer understanding (including vulnerable customers).
- Identifying potential areas of concern that may impact VXBS and suggesting remediation steps where appropriate.
- Document findings in concise reports that clearly identify risk areas and next steps.
- Making recommendations regarding the nature of the client relationship based on the review findings.
- Conducting follow-up reviews and assessments to monitor progress of remediations.
- Supporting with the delivery of both internal and external training.
- Working closely with the wider Conduct Risk team to incorporate conduct findings into the overall assessment of external client risk.
- Supporting the wider regulatory team with internal client enquiries.
- Engaging in continuous knowledge development regarding relevant regulation, industry best practice, tools, and techniques.
- Assisting with any other tasks or responsibilities as required by the business to meet evolving needs and priorities.
Essential skills & experience:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, auditors, and regulators.
- Structured and well-organised, ability to prioritise multiple tasks and to bring open projects to closure.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence others.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to assess issues and produce analysis based on data.
- Excellent team working skills, ability to manage competing priorities, and attention to detail.
- A good understanding of the FCA handbook.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a Compliance role or similar.
