Full-Time Cost Accounting System Analyst

The role provides financial system and accounting support to our Apertures – U.S. organization. A crucial role in overseeing and managing the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system implementation from an accounting, finance and operations perspective. Focus includes accurate financial reporting and compliance with Cornerstone Building Brands’ policies. This role significantly impacts the organization's financial performance and growth.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for smooth ERP integration and rollout within Cornerstone Building Brands systems.
• Ensure transactions flow correctly across multiple systems and are accurately recorded in the general ledger.
• Support ERP project from an accounting and financial reporting perspective (requirements, testing, and production support).
• Implement new processes and controls to support finance system implementation and proper documentation.
• Collaborate with auditors to provide necessary documentation promptly.
• Lead change initiatives with cross-functional teams to address data issues and improve operational processes.
• Guarantee accuracy and integrity of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes involving the new ERP.
• Define data and reporting requirements, and develop reports for accounting and operational reconciliation process management.
• Diagnose data quality/transaction issues, identify root causes, and communicate solutions to accounting and IT teams.
• Assist with training workshops to help other finance/accounting team members operate the new ERP.
• Travel to manufacturing facilities during implementation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (U.S. GAAP) and financial analysis
• Experience with ERP systems (preferably in manufacturing, JDE E1 experience a plus)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, cross-functional collaboration
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
