Position Purpose: The Customer Solutions Lead plays a critical role in the Municipal Water Contract Operations (MWCO) Growth organization. This position bridges technical expertise with client engagement, helping design and package compelling, coherent, and competitive offers that reflect Veolia’s “Professional Operations” standard of excellence.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Client Engagement & Solution Design: Act as a trusted advisor to municipal clients, uncovering operational, financial, and strategic needs. Collaborate with business developers to shape client-centric solutions. Lead the development of tailored solution roadmaps.
- Offer Structuring & Packaging: Translate client needs into structured, market-ready offers with clear scope, KPIs, resourcing, and business models. Partner with Technical Solutions colleagues to ensure offers are comprehensive and competitive. Support proposal teams and client meetings.
- Innovation & Growth: Identify opportunities to incorporate new technologies and business models into client offers. Maintain awareness of industry trends and competitor positioning. Contribute to Veolia’s growth by refining and standardizing offers.
- Internal Collaboration: Mentor and support business developers. Share best practices and contribute to building an offer library for MWCO.
Education/Experience/Background:
- Bachelor’s and/or advanced degree in Engineering (civil, mechanical, environmental, or process), Environmental Science, Business Administration or related field required.
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in municipal utility operations, consulting, or water/wastewater services.
- Prior client-facing experience in technical solutions, technical business consulting, or strategic advisory roles.
- Track record of successfully developing and delivering client solutions.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong technical background in water/wastewater operations, asset management, or municipal utility consulting.
- Strong business acumen including financial literacy and strategic thinking.
- Proven ability to structure and package differentiating service offerings.
- Consultative, client-centered communication skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to connect vision to actionable plans.
- Collaborative and influential.
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills.
Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
- Valid Driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Engineering and/or Operator Certification is highly valued.
Regular travel is expected.
