Job Overview: The Cyber Security Engineer will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect our organization's data, networks, and systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Design, implement, and manage security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption protocols.
- Continuously monitor network traffic for unusual activity, respond to security breaches, and conduct forensic investigations as needed.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, and conduct regular security audits.
- Develop and implement incident response plans, lead the response to security incidents, and provide detailed reports.
- Educate employees on security policies, procedures, and best practices to minimize human-related security risks.
- Work closely with IT teams, management, and external vendors to implement security measures and report on security status and incidents.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in cyber security or a related field.
· Strong understanding of network protocols, security architecture, and security technologies.
· Experience with security tools such as SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management systems.
· Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CISM are highly desirable.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
