About the Internship: This 3-month hands-on training internship offers real-world, practical data engineering skills through impactful projects. While unpaid, it provides invaluable experience, mentorship, and portfolio building opportunities. You'll work closely with our team to learn fundamentals, advanced tools, and build showcase projects.
What You'll Learn:
- Data Pipeline Development: Build and manage scalable ETL pipelines.
- Data Warehousing: Design and optimize data storage for high-performance analytics.
- Big Data Tools: Gain hands-on experience with industry-standard tools like Apache Spark, Hadoop.
- Cloud Platforms: Work with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure for data storage and analytics.
- Data Integration: Learn data integration from multiple sources and maintaining quality.
- SQL & Python Programming: Build expertise in efficient queries and data manipulation.
- Real-World Problem Solving: Participate in real-world project challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

University Hiring Program Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be enrolled in a degree-seeking program.
- Must be available to work approximately 40 hours per week starting May or June.
Required Skills and Experience: Strong foundation in data engineering, ETL, tools like Jenkins, dbt, Airflow; Strong coding skills in Python, Scala, or Java; Proficient in designing, implementing, optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines; Basic knowledge of SQL and NoSQL, time-series databases; Familiarity with AWS; Understanding of security protocols. Experience in orchestrating data workflows and ETL processes. Knowledge of interactive data preparation.
Required Education and Training: Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software/Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science.
