Full-Time Design Release Engineer (Automotive Audio)

Engineering Specialist will lead the product development process for components, create and maintain Part Numbers in PLM/EBOM and TeamCenter.

Responsibilities:

• Support packaging of new audio components.
• Translate customer requirements into technical requirements (functional, software, hardware, and testing) for systems and release them in PLM/GST.
• Support and ensure integrity of co-design activities (HW, SW, Mechanical).
• Identify and assess technical risks on design changes, and contribute to countermeasure identification.
• Initiate and process component CCD/CN/IAA/PER (including approvals).
• Lead component shortage activities and recovery plans.
• Deliver homologation compliance reports and support certifications.
• Contribute to technological roadmaps for improvement and innovation.
• Report issues, status, and root cause analysis; escalate issues when needed.
• Work closely with various departments (style designers, suppliers, integrators, etc.).
• Report directly to the Design Responsible.

Required skills:

• Fluency in technical English.

Preferred technical knowledge:

• Electrical/electronics: amplifier technologies, microphone technologies, automotive MCUs/DSPs, A2B/CAN transceivers, MOSFETs, loudspeaker design/testing.
• Audio: Audio component design/measurements (SPL, THD, Frequency response, Impedance), testing methodologies.
• Mechanics/materials: Plastic molding, metal casting, materials coupling, adhesives, FEM, Moldflow.
• Software: Automotive electronic systems architectures, diagnostics, SW/FW testing, cybersecurity, audio codecs, voice recognition, noise management/cancellation, audio tuning.
