Full-Time Design Release Engineer-Fuel Systems

Design Release Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, APQP, and production release of a system/component within Fuels Systems (Fuel/Urea tanks and fuel/urea delivery modules).

• Quality improvements, value optimization, weight reduction, and efficiency improvement initiatives, including communicating technical product status to management.

Will interact with suppliers and work closely with internal and external groups, such as the vehicle program team, testing & prototype labs, CAE engineers, supplier operations, and manufacturing plants.

Required:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering
• Proficiency in English (write, listen, and speak)
• Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited university/or equivalent is preferred.
• 1-3 years of design/development automotive engineering experience in Fuel Systems and/or UREA.
• Consideration of internships in Fuel Systems (UREA also considered) as part of experience.
• Self-starter with strong leadership, communication, organizational skills, and demonstrated problem-solving ability.

Preferred Requirements:

• Automotive product engineering experience
• Prototype experience
• Experience with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA)
• Experience with Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R)
• Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) preferred Belt certification
• General understanding of fasteners/torque
• General understanding of GD&T
• General understanding of NX, Teamcenter, PLM
• Knowledge in injection molding / blow molding processes
• Knowledge of mechanical and fluid dynamics virtual simulations

Travel Requirements: Up to 20% domestic and international travel.

Driving and Travel Requirements (NA applicants): Will be required to drive a company car, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.

Location Requirements: Applicants must reside and be legally authorized to work in Mexico.
