Job Details
Design, validate and release new automotive products and projects, regarding your perimeter/sub-system, focused on the North America region.
Working with the engineering team, suppliers, vehicle integration, purchasing, quality, finance and other cross-functional teams, study feasibility and execute changes to launch new products according to quality or customer experience.
Tracking regional results by your subsystem/commodity and controlling the implementation gates and roadblocks.
Participate in discussions when needed and supporting the Central VO team with planning, DMC reduction, and their associated business cases.
Interacting globally with other regional counterparts in efforts aimed at maximizing vehicle design efficiency according to quality, cost, and functional targets.
Support 3D and 2D development for new components.
Support Product Launching phases with prototype or serial component development and validation.
Bill of Material development and management.
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent from an ABET accredited or equivalent program
5+ years of engineering experience for design, product management and launching in the automotive industry MAINLY on seat components.
Live in or near Toluca, State of Mexico, Coahuila (if you apply from another state, we may also consider your application).
Experience designing and developing at least one of the following:
- Mold plastics
- Seat structures/mechanisms
- Restraints
- Interior system integration
Experience with the design for seats.
Experience with OEM or supplier design and release.
Experience with NX, Catia V5, and Teamcenter.
Experience with DFMEA, DVP&R creation and execution.
Experience with component builds and execution.
