Job Details
Design and Release Engineer Powertrain is responsible for the engineering, design, development, timing, and release of powertrain.
Responsibilities include development and validation of components, communication of technical product status and competitor benchmarking to management.
Coordination: Coordinates packaging with adjacent departments.
Validation: Works with virtual validation groups to ensure CAE scorecard and manufacturing feasibility.
Documentation: Maintains and updates DVP&R, DFMEA.
Supplier Management: Supports and manages suppliers for quality actions and VO activities.
Teamwork: Supports meetings throughout NA work hours and collaborates closely with local engineering teams, Architecture/Vehicle Concepts, program science teams & PDO.
Alignment: Works with iterative models to align with packaging, functional objectives, and system requirements.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automotive, Electric, Electro-mechanical, etc).
Experience: Preferably 3-5 years in automotive industry as Product Engineer or product development-related position.
Skills: Experience in Powertrain, engine, electrical components.
Tools: Experience with Catia V5, NX, and Teamcenter
Methods: Experience with DFMEA, DVP&R, and validation plans.
Travel: Availability to travel sporadically.
Language: Advanced English (B2/C1).
Location: Applicants must reside and be legally authorized to work in Mexico.
