Join Our Mission: Help the Helpers with JaneLet’s kick things off with a quick intro. Jane is a team that’s all about fostering growth, spreading delight, and serving our healthcare community. We’re looking for people who are ready to jump in and join us as we simplify the lives of healthcare practitioners and patients every day. At Jane, success means collaborating with your team, delivering an aligned result with efficiency and quality, communicating clearly and openly, and embracing continuous improvement. And guess what? Jane is a remote-first company, so every role, including this one, gives you the freedom to work from anywhere in Canada.
Your Role in Our JourneyWe believe great design is one of the most powerful ways we can help our customers — and as our design team grows, we’re ready to bring on our very first Design Operations Specialist. You’ll be the heartbeat of our Design Ops, helping us streamline processes, organize our research, and nurture a thriving, creative, and human-centered design culture. Think of yourself as an enabler: your work lets our designers focus on what they do best — crafting thoughtful, user-centered experiences — by making sure the operational side of design runs smoothly behind the scenes.
This is a highly collaborative role where you’ll partner with Product Design, Marketing Design, and Research across Jane. It’s also a unique opportunity to help shape how Design Ops shows up at Jane from the ground up.
The Impact You Could Have
- Research operations - Coordinate research efforts and maintain a centralized view of studies and sentiment (like SUPR-Q) to help teams build on insights, understand customer perception, and measure design impact.
- Team Support & Rituals - Support rituals like weekly syncs, critique, and craft sessions to help foster a strong, connected design culture.
- Design Systems & Process Enablement - Collaborate with design leaders and cross-functional partners to document and evolve systems, principles, and best practices.
- Tooling and Systems - Manage tooling and systems (Figma, Miro, Looker, Monday.com), keeping access organized, efficient, and looking for opportunities to automate.
- Project & Workflow Management - Intake and organize creative briefs, and support project tracking and hygiene across Product and Marketing Design.
- Team Enablement - Support designer onboarding and offboarding to ensure teammates feel welcomed, equipped, and aligned with our ways of working.
The Experience We Feel We Need
- Organized and proactive: You love bringing order to chaos, and you take pride in enabling others to do their best work.
- Collaborative by nature: You thrive in cross-functional environments and love building bridges between people and teams.
- Detail-oriented but flexible: You see the small stuff and you can zoom out to adapt processes as needs evolve.
- Deep respect for the craft of design: You might not be a designer yourself, but you understand the rhythms of creative work and advocate for what design needs to succeed.
- Kind, curious, and action-oriented: You embody Jane’s brand values — helpful, human, and delightful.
Compensation Expectations for the Role
Jane’s committed to paying our team members fairly, clearly, and above all, paying for growth. This role has a minimum annual salary of $73,100 and maximum annual salary of $109,600. A starting salary of $86,800 reflects the expectation of being fully accomplished in the role. Possible to join Jane at a salary above or below this.
