About the Team: The Cloud Platform team manages Fusion clusters for Lucidworks' public cloud customers. You will be instrumental in customer success by leveraging the power of search.
About the Role: As a DevOps Engineer, you will develop and deploy DevOps best practices and tools, focusing on creating, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining production infrastructures. This is a high-impact role that requires strong problem-solving skills and a dedication to uptime.
Responsibilities:
- Develop automation tools for efficient resource delivery.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver high-quality products to customers.
- Ensure 99.9% uptime for managed customers.
- Work on infrastructure automation, monitor/alert creation, and tool development.
- Take ownership of cloud-first initiatives and streamline customer onboarding.
- Engage in an Agile environment, collaborate internationally, and adhere to Lucidworks' values.
- Maintain a consistent schedule, including a specific shift and weekend availability.
Stack: Python, Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, GCP, GKE, Golang, ArgoCD, Prometheus, Grafana, GitHub Actions, Loki, Rootly
Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years DevOps experience at a PaaS/SaaS company.
- 2+ years Kubernetes experience (istio, kops, helm, etc. preferred).
- Experience with JVM-based application management (garbage collection, heap tuning).
- Experience managing large-scale distributed systems (hundreds/thousands of instances across clouds).
- Willingness to participate in 24x7 on-call rotation.
- Familiarity with SaaS infrastructure and deployment.
- Search experience (Fusion, Solr, ElasticSearch) is a plus.
- Java programming (Spring) is a plus.
