Full-Time Director, Credit Risk

• Develop and refine credit risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures for new and existing lending products
• Lead portfolio risk monitoring, segmentation, and stress testing to ensure appropriate risk-adjusted returns
• Partner with Product and Finance teams to design new lending offerings, embedding risk controls from inception
• Define underwriting standards, scorecard strategies, and eligibility criteria to support responsible growth
• Oversee ongoing monitoring of credit performance, delinquency trends, and loss forecasting
• Establish early warning systems and recommend policy adjustments based on observed risk signals
• Foster strong partnerships with Product Management, Operations, Engineering, Data Science, Accounting, and Strategic Finance teams, driving alignment and facilitating data-driven decision-making.
• Partner with Compliance and Legal to ensure lending practices meet regulatory standards
• Present portfolio performance and risk assessments to executive leadership
• Build and mentor a high-performing credit risk team, fostering expertise in underwriting, analytics, and portfolio management.

• 10+ years of experience in credit risk management, preferably in consumer or small business lending
• At least 5 years of experience in managing a team
• Strong understanding of credit risk analytics, underwriting, and portfolio management
• Experience supporting the launch and scaling of new lending products
• Proficiency with credit modeling, loss forecasting, and stress testing frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally and influence executive stakeholders
• Strong leadership skills with experience building and leading high-performing teams
