About This Job Develop and implement Global Category and sub-category strategies with SVP Procurement, CTO, direct reports and business stakeholders. Plan and lead global category initiatives. Ensure robust supplier management, value creation targets, and supplier performance. Develop innovation programs, manage supplier risks, and conduct regular business reviews. Lead proactive sourcing projects, specification definition, demand management, and supplier performance & innovation activities.
Responsibilities
- Strategy Development: Develop IT category strategy, map stakeholders, establish core team/resources, oversee research & data analysis. Challenge current practices, specifications, and demands. Develop and sell strategy to senior stakeholders. Manage tender process, communicate and review strategy as needed; create business cases.
- Contract Development: Create negotiation plans and negotiate with suppliers; ensure adherence to signing authorities and communicate contracts.
- Supplier Development: Conduct regular performance reviews with preferred IT suppliers, create continuous improvement plans, develop alternative suppliers, and implement contract KPIs.
- Contract Lifecycle Management: Ensure compliance (restricted party screening, financial checks, conflict of interest checks, forced labor, embargoed countries). Ensure local compliance with Global contracts.
- Leadership: Effectively communicate and liaise with stakeholders and 3rd parties. Organize team members, delegate responsibilities, and empower team. Coach junior team members. Deploy resources effectively to manage projects & tasks. Measure individual performance, provide timely and open feedback, and support team development.
Requirements Degree in technical/business administration or related field, or relevant experience. 10+ years' experience in global procurement with a focus on IT sourcing. Understanding of sourcing processes & tools, contractual & legal aspects. Preferred: Professional Procurement Qualifications. Strong financial & business acumen, negotiation, change management, and stakeholder management skills. Fluent in English.
