As the Director of AI Governance & Strategy, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the AI governance framework. Support accelerating business value from AI while ensuring ethical, responsible, and compliant AI system development and deployment. This role directly impacts business value, trust, and transparency of AI products/services. Establish and lead high-performing cross-functional teams, engage stakeholders, and implement effective frameworks.
Responsibilities:
- Accelerate AI Adoption: Support organization's AI technology adoption, assess feasibility of AI solutions, and support AI engineers.
- Support & Evaluation of AI Use Cases: Guide business units in identifying and evaluating potential AI use cases, assessing alignment with business objectives and strategic priorities. Evaluate benefits & risks, including ethical considerations.
- Collaboration & Training: Develop and deliver training programs on AI governance and ethical AI practices. Collaborate with data science, engineering, product development, and legal teams.
- Develop & Implement AI Governance Framework: Implement the AI governance framework encompassing ethical considerations, risk management, and compliance. Establish policies, procedures, standards for AI systems and use cases.
- Monitoring & Evaluation: Establish metrics to monitor framework effectiveness, conduct audits, and stay informed of emerging trends.
- Ensure Ethical AI Practices: Promote ethical AI development, identify potential biases/discrimination, and stay abreast of ethical guidelines.
- Oversee Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), AI-specific regulations, and industry standards, collaborating with Legal and Privacy teams.
- Promote Transparency & Explainability: Develop mechanisms for transparency and explainability in AI systems, fostering trust and understanding.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related field. Experience in regulated industries (finance, healthcare) is a plus. Fluency in English and local language. Excellent communication, collaboration, leadership skills, cross-functional team work, and stakeholder influence. High energy, conscientiousness, rapport building, resiliency, inventiveness, curiosity. Strong understanding of ethical considerations and societal impact of AI. Experience in managing organizational change. Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills. Experience with data & analytics governance tools & technologies. 10+ years of experience in data management, data governance, or related field is ideal. Proven track record in implementing data & analytics governance programs.
Additional Skills: Evaluate and manage relationships with technology vendors. Understand contractual terms, service level agreements (SLAs), and negotiation skills.
