The Director of Finance, Operations Support plays a critical role in supporting financial performance and leadership development. This role provides essential operational support, ensures strong financial controls, and drives best practices across properties.
Business Continuity:
- Serve as interim Director of Finance during property-level vacancies.
- Oversee financial operations during interim assignments.
- Review management agreements and deal structures.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Mentor, coach, and support new Directors of Finance.
Business Process Leader:
- Lead the implementation of new property accounting initiatives.
- Identify, share, and implement best practices across properties.
- Collaborate to develop programs to strengthen the pipeline of finance talent.
- Support property-level openings and transitions.
- Identify training needs and provide development opportunities.
- Partner with internal audit to identify risks and implement corrective actions.
- Champion business ethics and associate engagement.
Summary of Activities:
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and compliance.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial performance and reduce costs.
- Manage capital expenditure budgets and financial risk management.
- Onboard, coach, and mentor new Directors of Finance.
- Develop Assistant Directors of Finance through training.
- Review and assess internal controls at each property.
- Collaborate with opening and transition teams.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years as a hotel Director of Finance or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of hotel financial reporting systems, USALI, and management agreements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proven ability to lead and influence diverse teams
Preferred:
- Master’s degree or equivalent
- Prior multi-property or corporate finance leadership experience
