DomainTools is seeking an experienced leader to head up our Cloud, DevOps Platform, and TechOps teams. This position will lead the engineers responsible for designing, building, and operating our production deployment systems.
Team Vision: Create a self-service, developer-centric DevOps platform enabling continuous integration and deployment of security applications to hybrid (On-prem and AWS) environments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of talented engineers.
- Recruit, develop, and retain top talent.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements, propose changes, and align on strategies.
- Predict team and customer needs.
- Define and implement processes to manage multiple dev/test environments, including rapid creation and removal.
- Execute zero-downtime migrations.
- Drive accountability for deployment cost measurement and control.
- Provide guidance on best practices for application performance, cost-effectiveness, security, and reliability.
- Assist in designing real-time data processing and management.
- Assist in designing a platform for software and infrastructure management across cloud and on-prem systems.
- Engage in on-call participation with a team of 24/7 operations engineers.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years experience in software/hardware/systems technology leadership.
- 5+ years experience building resilient platforms/SaaS solutions with container orchestration technologies.
- Experience designing, building, and operating internet-scale, hybrid platforms.
- Strong technologist with broad knowledge of modern software engineering, systems engineering, operations, and infrastructure management.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience and passion for the internet security space.
Plus Points:
- Master's degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Strong opinions, loosely held.
- Experience in CI/CD automation and tooling.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python 3, Golang, Rust).
- Experience with streaming data pipelines (Kafka).
- Familiarity with big data ecosystem technologies (RDBMS, NoSQL, Data Warehousing).
- Experience with threat intelligence products (Whois, DNS, SSL, web crawl data).
