Full-Time Director of Procurement Strategy

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Director of Procurement Strategy and Market Intelligence to lead the development and execution of procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Procurement Development: Develop and implement long-term procurement strategies; identify and evaluate new suppliers, markets, and business opportunities; define procurement objectives and performance metrics.
2. Market Intelligence & Analysis: Lead market data gathering and analysis; provide actionable insights for procurement decisions; monitor competitors and the supplier landscape.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders (finance, operations, marketing) and the finance team for forecasts and budget planning.
4. Leadership & Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team; foster continuous improvement.
5. Risk Management & Compliance: Analyze market risks; create strategies to mitigate supply chain risks; ensure compliance with policies, standards, and regulations.
6. Reporting & Communication: Report on procurement performance; provide updates and recommendations to senior management.
7. Strategic Planning and Execution: Collaborate with procurement leadership; conduct in-depth analysis of procurement operations; develop and implement operational plans.
8. Operational Excellence: Manage multiple projects; streamline procurement processes; develop and implement KPIs; analyze procurement data.
9. Team Management and Development: Provide leadership and mentorship; foster a collaborative culture; identify training needs.
10. Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders; effectively communicate procurement strategies and initiatives; resolve conflicts.
11. Executive Support: Provide executive-level support; prepare presentations; coordinate cross-team inputs.
