About Upstart: Upstart is the leading AI lending marketplace partnering with banks and credit unions to expand access to affordable credit.
As the Director of Product, Capital Platform, you will build and lead the product team responsible for growing capital across our loan products.
Capital providers expect robust oversight and analytics; nuanced control over the loans they fund; and automation.
Your impact:
- Define the vision and strategy for lending partners and capital markets partners.
- Build and lead a product management team, ensuring continuous growth and development.
- Understand lending partner and capital markets needs to define and build solutions.
- Work closely with sales, marketing, compliance, machine learning, and customer success teams.
- Execute on product roadmaps and launch features.
- Shape products to align with capital partner needs.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of product management experience
- Track record of building and leading outstanding PM teams
- Experience with complex B2B workflows
- Experience building business critical tools
- Ability to interface with bank, credit union, and capital market leaders
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proven ability to achieve strategic goals in a fast-paced environment
- BA/BS in a related field or equivalent experience
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience building online financial products
- Experience with consumer banking, capital markets
- Experience at a growth-stage company
Location: Remote, San Mateo, Columbus, Austin
Time Zone: East/West Coast
Travel: Majority of work can be accomplished remotely. In-person sessions are encouraged for collaboration.
Compensation: Competitive compensation (base + bonus & equity), benefits, and generous leave programs.
Salary Range: $216,100–$299,000 USD (US location).
