ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain awareness and knowledge of risk conditions.
Develop, formulate and coordinate property and casualty insurance claims.
Review safety, environment, loss prevention, employment and security programs.
Maintain historical record of all losses, insured and uninsured.
Review leases, contracts, sales and finance agreements.
Ensure proper handling of claims for workers’ compensation.
Coordinate risk control activities and monitor compliance.

- Property conservation, fire safety and fire prevention
- Emergency preparedness
- Business recovery
Coordinate reporting of claims to insurers and process claims.
Prepare detailed investigative reports.
Collect company data for insurance premiums.
Verify accuracy and validity of policies and premiums.
Prepare reports required by insurance companies.
Allocate premium among locations.
Direct activities of subsidiaries and offices (domestic and foreign).
Maintain surveillance over self-insurance programs.
Maintain knowledge of insurance coverage and insurers.
Maintain knowledge of market conditions and governmental activities.
Establish and maintain risk management and insurance expense allocation.
Recommend and approve major equipment.
Perform claims handling and settlement activities.
Travel to key company locations worldwide.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant disciplines (Insurance, Law Enforcement, etc.) or equivalent.
- 10+ years of Risk Management, Finance, or related experience.
- MBA, ARM, or CPE desired.
- Specific knowledge of insurance terminology and safety/environmental engineering.
- Strong communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Ability to analyze documents and interpret regulations.
- Adaptable, able to manage projects and take independent action.
- Proactive, anticipate needs, and manage multiple projects.
- Strong work ethic and ability to produce high-quality work under pressure.
- Self-starter with problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in reviewing transaction documentation.
