Job Details
To be responsible for the overall operational and commercial delivery of each assigned Project ensuring all Operational and Commercial KPI’s are met and that all Health and Safety Policies and Procedures are being complied with.
- To manage Site Managers assigned to each Project and ensure all HR policies and procedures are being adhered to.
- Ensure Total Mobile is up to date for each Project and that Site Managers Dashboards are within agreed Targets.
- Liaising with the Client and other internal departments Admin and Commercial staff; the Client when required, and sometimes the Resident or members of the public
- Report to the Contract Manager when required regarding Operational and Commercial KPI’s.
- Understand technical drawings and specifications to understand Building Reg requirements and liaise with Building Control when required.
- Ensure effective delivery of works by Supply Chain and monitor work load and quality of Supply Chain delivery by carrying out regular meetings and recording outcomes as per United Living Policies and Procedures.
- Create CDM documentation for each Project and ensure Site Managers are creating and reviewing mandated Health and Safety documentation and requirements.
- To recruit staff when and if required following United Living Recruitment and Onboarding procedures.
- Provide advice and mentoring support to all direct reports
- Anticipating problems and finding way to prevent problems from happening and to solve any that crop up.
- Stand in for Contracts Manager when and if required.
Experience and knowledge
- Experience within a similar role
- Knowledge and experience of Disrepairs Workstream
- Strong experience of working within a fast moving environment delivering a high quality and robust delivery service
- Experience of Managing Sub-Contractors including addressing poor performance
- Able to demonstrate generation of KPI’s
- Experience of CDM Regulations
- Experience of working within a customer facing environment
- Knowledge and understanding of working within financial regulations; data protection; freedom of information and waste management
- Proficient in the use of Total Mobile and Microsoft office applications (outlook; excel and word)
- Able to demonstrate an awareness and understanding of equality issues
Skills & Abilities
- Able to read and understand instructions, technical reports and designs, and follow company procedures
- Ability to work without direct supervision dealing with emergencies and difficult situations in a calm and effective manner; be well organised and prioritise own workload
- Able to develop and present written information in a clear and concise manner
