Full-Time DRE Fuels Systems

This position is responsible for the design, development, timing and production release of a system/component within Fuels Systems (filler pipes, fuel lines, tanks, canisters). Other responsibilities include quality improvements, value optimization, weight reduction, and efficiency improvements. This also includes communicating technical product status to management.

The Design Release Engineer will interact with suppliers and closely work with internal and external groups such as testing and prototype labs, CAE engineers, vehicle program teams, supplier operations, and manufacturing plants.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university (or equivalent).
• BSME preferred
• More than 3 years of design/development automotive engineering experience in Fuel Systems and/or UREA.
• Consideration of internships in Fuel Systems (UREA also considered).

Desired Skills:

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability.
• Experience with Formula SAE, Baja, or similar college experiences.
• Extensive automotive experience preferred.
• Product engineering experience preferred.
• Prototype experience preferred.
• Experience with DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), DVP&R (Design Verification Plan & Report), DFSS (Design for Six Sigma).
• Belt certification preferred.
• Solid understanding of system/component design.
• General understanding of NX, TeamCenter, and CoDeP.

Additional Requirements:

• Reside and legally authorized to work in Mexico.
