Job Details
Apex Clean Energy is looking for an Estimator to support cost estimating for utility-scale renewable energy projects (wind, solar, energy storage).
As part of the Pre-Construction team, you will play a key role in developing accurate and competitive cost estimates.
The Estimator will report to the Director, Preconstruction.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for utility-scale renewable energy projects.
- Review RFPs, project plans, and specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering, project management, procurement, and finance teams.
- Solicit and analyze quotes from subcontractors, equipment vendors, and suppliers.
- Assist in developing and maintaining unit pricing databases and standardized estimating templates.
- Support the development of bid packages and proposal pricing.
- Stay current on market trends, vendor pricing, labor rates, and material costs.
- Contribute to post-project reviews.
- Help identify cost risks and opportunities.
- Maintain organized documentation of estimates.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in construction estimating or related cost analysis.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and estimating software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- A proactive and flexible approach.
- Passion for renewable energy and sustainability.
