We are seeking a Field Coordinator for bridge and Overhead Sign Structure inspection projects across New York State. The successful applicant will manage critical roadway operations, coordinate lane closures, and maintain inspection equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lane Closure Management: Develop and implement comprehensive lane closure plans for various road types (rural roads, urban streets, and high-speed expressways). Ensure adherence to all lane closure plans, meeting or exceeding NYSDOT safety standards.
- Inspection Support: Coordinate and oversee the allocation of vehicles to inspection crews to maximize efficiency. Manage the maintenance and readiness of inspection equipment.
- Permit and Regulation Compliance: Secure all necessary vehicular and lane closure permits from New York State agencies in a timely manner. Maintain meticulous records for all project documentation.
- Project Management: Ensure strict adherence to project timelines through team coordination and resource management. Proactively identify and address potential issues to maximize efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications: BA/BS + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years bridge inspection experience; 6+ months field coordination experience.
- Experience with Work Zone Traffic Control and Access Equipment Vendors in the NY and NJ Tri-State.
- NHI 130055 Bridge Inspection Training and OSHA 10 training (or willingness to complete).
- Experience with NY and NJ state bridge inspection manuals.
- Experience working with the New York State Department of Transportation.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools for scheduling and project management.
