Job Details
Position SummaryResponsible for installation, testing, analysis, maintenance, repair, and training of Syntegon packaging equipment at customer sites, focusing on control platforms. Provide excellent technical customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide field service repairs, training, and installations.
- Maintain proficiency in control software (e.g., Allen Bradley, various controls platforms).
- Interact with Product, Project, and Sales departments on order review, design reviews, assembly, testing, and final acceptance tests.
- Assist Assembly and Quality Control personnel during machine assembly and testing.
- Provide support to Customers, Customer Service, and Sales departments.
- Interact with Sales Managers/Project Managers on customer equipment needs and concerns.
- Perform final machine acceptance inspections.
- Perform customer service site management.
- Maintain machine configuration documentation.
- Assist Parts and Modernization departments with quoting upgrades.
- Provide updates and modifications to machine control software.
- Train customers, internal personnel, and sales support staff on equipment operation, maintenance, and safety.
- Coordinate development activities and upgrades.
- Support operating controls systems, equipment, and machinery.
- Participate in continuous training to maintain technical expertise.
- Process expense and trip reports.
- Train Bosch and customer personnel on machinery control software.
- Occasionally, manage site workload of Bosch technicians, assembly, and engineering personnel.
- Work in tight quarters, lift up to 50 lbs., and adhere to safety procedures.
- Travel up to 90%.
Basic Requirements
- Electrical Engineering degree or 2+ years of vocational training in Electromechanical Systems
- Minimum 3+ years in the Packaging industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of ladder logic and other machine control software.
- Advanced mechanical, electrical, and software skills.
- Ability to support various software control platforms.
- Proficiency in operating controls systems (Allen Bradley, CTC, Moeller, Siemens, PLC, PMAC, etc.).
- Proficiency in robotic vision systems.
- Customer service focus.
- Effective communication skills.
- Strong computer skills (MS Office).
Compensation: $75,000-$95,000 per year
