Full-Time Financial Controller

The Finance team builds and maintains the financial engine powering our entire business (ad tech, SaaS, global payment processing, internal wallets). Our internal platform, Vantage, acts as our ERP automating financial tracking, reporting, invoicing, reconciliation, and profitability analysis.

In this mission-critical role, you will operate and refine Vantage, ensuring real-time, audit-grade accuracy across multiple global entities. Your work directly impacts revenue tracking, tax filing, and understanding company financial health.

1. Own and operate Aurora's internal finance system (Vantage), ensuring accuracy.
2. Review, manage, and refine general ledger, journal entries, chart of accounts, and reconciliation logic.
3. Oversee all inflows (deposits, subscriptions, fees, etc.) and outflows (expenses, payouts, refunds).
4. Ensure every transaction is correctly attributed to the client and entity.
5. Manage and reconcile transactions across Stripe, Airwallex, and crypto wallets.
6. Ensure proper journalization of revenue recognition, margin capture (fees), and wallet deductions.
7. Work directly with developers and leadership to address broken flows and inconsistencies.
8. Prepare clean, structured P&L and financial reports for internal and external use.
9. Maintain financial documentation, SOPs, and reporting processes for audit readiness.
10. Improve and refine financial controls to enable finance function scaling without overhead scaling.

Requirements

• 4+ years of accounting, financial control, or finance operations experience.
• Deep knowledge of double-entry accounting, journal entries, and ledger structures.
• Hands-on experience managing multi-step reconciliations (bank accounts, payment processors, crypto wallets).
• Understanding of Hong Kong tax and financial requirements.
• Understanding of revenue recognition, cost attribution, and margin tracking.
• Experience preparing monthly P&L, balance sheets, and internal reports.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
• Ability to learn and operate within internal tools.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).

Preferred Requirements

• SaaS, fintech, or ad tech experience.
• Experience building or operating a custom finance system.
• Experience with crypto accounting or digital asset reconciliation.
• Familiarity with platforms like Stripe, Airwallex, Xero, QuickBooks, or ERP systems.
• Experience with multi-currency operations and FX margin tracking.
• Ability to work directly with product, engineering, and leadership teams.
