Full-Time GL and Intercompany Accountant

Overall Purpose of Job: This role is responsible for preparing and posting accounting entries in SAP FI, delivering accurate ad-hoc reports for specific entities. Accountable for general ledger (GL) matters, monthly intercompany clearings, and reconciliations for assigned business units. Ensures accuracy and completeness of GL accounting transactions following financial procedures. Owns daily general ledger operations according to priorities and metrics, and performs related operational tasks.

Main tasks, roles and responsibilities:

• Involved in daily operations, including:
• Posting and managing financial transactions.
• Banking, intercompany clearing, and loan operations.
• Bank statement posting to GL accounts.
• FX transactions, hedging, and posting.
• GL and sub-ledger reconciliation.
• Preparing documentation for auditors and tax authorities.
• Posting intercompany journal entries.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to resolve intercompany transaction issues.
• Reconciling and reporting intercompany balances and eliminating differences.
• Responding to ad-hoc queries and report requests.
• Adhering to service levels, policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Identifying, evaluating, and resolving issues, including process improvements.
• Collaborating with business units and stakeholders.
• Providing quality customer service.
• Creating and updating process manuals and work instructions.
• Managing external and internal audit requests/queries.
• Managing balance confirmations.
• Delivering ad-hoc reports requested by key stakeholders.
