Reporting to the Global Yeast Extract supplychain director and functionnaly to the corporate quality direction, the incumbent's main contributions will be to:
- Contribute to the strategy & development of the 2 BUs by managing quality processes, projects and food safety.
- Ensure all YE facilities quality systems are aligned and meeting the BUs needs.
- Interact directly with the Key Accounts and main customers, as the main point of contact for quality-related demands and issues.
- Ensure proper coordination with the different site quality managers and group quality direction
His/her responsibilities will be focused on the following key topics:
- Quality assurance, including SOPs and GMPs
- Food Safety Plans
- QMS (Quality Management System)
- Supplier review and approval
- Traceability, recall, complaint management
Key accountabilities will be to:
- Ensure consistency of the QA standards, procedures and guidelines from the group Quality direction (GQD) across the different regions and entities producing YE for the BUs.
- Support customer questionnaires and questions whose topics are listed in the FAQ or Master files made available by the Group Quality Direction (GQD). Any new topics must be reported and taken care of by the GQD.
- Ensure close coordination with sites QA manager and GQD on new produts development and specifications formalization. Shall have an active role in approving Key accounts and customers specifications, in coordination with Sales & Operations.
- Interact directly with the Key Accounts, global and regional, of the BUs as the main point of contact for quality related demands and issues.
- Coordinate key accounts and customers visits globally, to ensure consistency across the regions in terms of feedback and action plans.
- Take charge of realizing and managing Quality Annual Review wIth the different regional and global teams, and deploying potential action plans.
- Establish, deploy and maintain “Customer Satisfaction” figures & KPI globally, including Quality complaints synthesis
- Ensure the YE plant main quality objectives are correctly defined and tracked on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Analyzes efficiency and establishes corrective action plan if needed, in coordination with sites QA , industrial teams and GQD
- Coordinate transversal projects in coordination with the QA regional teams.
- Participate in the selection of analyses and samples for the annual Contaminants Group study managed by the CQG.
- Establish, in coordination with Marketing, Sales and Operation departments, the necessary requirements for certification and audits globally.
- Deploy and maintain consistent change management guidelines across the organization.
- Be involved in the recruitment processes to choose the best candidate for vacancies at regional level
Education: Master’s degree in Biological Sciences, Quality, Quality management. Biotechnology formal education or associated downstream processes is a plus
Experience: Min. 15 years of experience on quality management in B to B or preferably Food (liquid), in chemical, pharmaceutical or flavoring/ingredient industry. Experienced in a multicultural environment, with matrix management experience
Knowledge: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Knowledge of technical quality standards
Technical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, fundamentals of plane, solid geometry and trigonometry, chemistry, enzymology science, chemical engineering knowledge (heat and fluid transfer, liquid-solid separation, evaporation and drying process).
Language skills: English and French
30 to 40% of travel expected.
