Full-Time Graphic Designer

PURPOSE:Produces the graphic design elements of survey packages and art requests.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Generates computer drawings for site plans.
2. Generates computer drawings for interior floor plans.
3. Develops photo overlays for survey packages.
4. Translates design concepts into production art files for transmittal to printers.
5. Interfaces with Project Managers and Team Manager on requirements for each drawing.
6. Provides revisions to the drawings when requested by the customer.
7. May work directly with SBU Project Managers to secure required information to complete site plans or brandbook.
8. Is responsible for the accuracy of the drawings of site or floor plans, quality checking each prior to submitting to Project Manager.
9. Follows the graphics standards as set for the department and projects assigned.
10. Provides miscellaneous artwork as required for projects assigned.
11. Performs other assignments as required.
12. Complies with all rules, policies, and procedures of Principle.
13. Supports Principle’s safety goals and objectives.
14. Provides high quality work.
15. Produces high volume of work to meet project schedules.
16. Remains reliable and dependable relative to punctuality and attendance during work hours.

REQUIREMENTS:

• AS degree, minimum, with emphasis on graphic layout, detailing and digital file formats; equivalent training and experience is also acceptable.
• Working knowledge of Macintosh and/or PC computers, with specific application knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe InDesign and Acrobat Pro. 3D app experience a plus.
• Proficient knowledge of width and length measurements, as well as scaling measurements.
• Experience working in the signage or fixture industry is a plus.
• Must strive for accuracy, quality checking their work.
• Must be able to work independently, producing large volumes of work.
