The Opportunity
A key role in the global finance team, reporting to the Group Director of Tax and working closely with the SVP Group Finance CFO, Audit Committee, and Global Leadership Team. Lead on or contribute to Group tax planning and execution for EMEA and APAC regions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic impact in a multi-currency, midcap-listed environment.
What you will do
- Cross-Border Tax Risk Management: Identify, analyze, and mitigate cross-border tax risks; ensure compliance with international tax laws and regulations.
- Transfer Pricing Compliance: Oversee transfer pricing policies; ensure adherence to OECD guidelines and local country regulations; manage transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transactions.
- Tax Planning & Advisory: Assist in developing and implementing international tax strategies to improve operational efficiency and manage tax costs.
- Tax Jurisdiction Expansion/Exit: Provide tax advisory support on entering/exiting tax jurisdictions; evaluate tax implications, structure considerations, and liaise with external tax advisors and local authorities.
- Group Tax Initiatives: Support the Director of Tax in broader tax projects, including tax audits, M&A activities, and tax technology improvements.
- Intellectual Property (IP) Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to optimize IP; ensure effective tax structuring and compliance with tax regulations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with finance, legal, and operational teams to align tax strategies with business objectives.
- Legislative & Regulatory Monitoring: Stay updated on international tax law developments; assess impact on the business; provide proactive recommendations.
What We Are Looking For
- ACA or CTA qualified
- Strong technical skills and experience
- Up-to-date knowledge of Corporation Tax issues
- Decisive thinker with ability to analyze information quickly
- Proven experience and in-depth knowledge of cross-border tax issues and transfer pricing
- Strong knowledge of OECD guidelines, BEPS framework, and global tax regulations
- Proven experience in managing transfer pricing policies and documentation
- Hands-on experience with tax compliance and reporting in multiple jurisdictions
- Ability to assess and navigate complex international tax matters and provide practical solutions
- Relevant tax experience gained in a listed group environment
- Experience in building strong relationships, both internal and external
- Team player
