Procurement Services Desk Lead will lead a team of procurement professionals for client workstreams, including supplier relationship management, reporting, and procurement operations.
Accountabilities include delivery and people management of the team; managing day-to-day operational issues; acting as liaison and escalation point with the client; and working closely with the Global Delivery Lead.
Responsibilities include using best practices for issue resolution; demonstrating a thorough understanding of procurement fundamentals; managing a team of senior associates, associates, and analysts; creating a positive work environment; fostering collaboration; and resolving HR issues.
Additional Responsibilities include developing relationships with WNS-Procurement account leadership, sharing best practices, identifying continuous improvement opportunities; serving as delivery leader and people manager of a 20+ person team; meeting or exceeding SLAs and KPIs; acting as escalation point for operational issues; managing objective setting, performance, career growth, training, and competency development;
Leading operational review meetings; managing resource capacity; overseeing root cause analysis and remediation; ensuring operational excellence; providing insights to Global Delivery Lead.
Requirements include a Bachelor's degree; MBA or master's degree in a related field preferred; 8+ years of procurement experience; prior management experience leading 10+ people; strong people management skills; consulting or client service delivery experience preferred; deep understanding of procurement fundamentals.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities include strong procurement functional/technical skills; strong knowledge of Procure-to-Pay processes; strong sourcing skills; analytical skills, data analysis skills (Excel); ability to synthesize data, draw conclusions; proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, eProcurement tools, project management tools, contract management tools; excellent written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated teamwork and leadership; strong project management skills; strong customer service orientation; ability to learn client processes, terminology, and political environment; solid decision-making ability.
