Job Details
As AI becomes foundational to how enterprise systems operate, we’re seeking a Head of AI Transformation to lead Unit4 through this shift—responsibly, strategically, and sustainably.
This is a senior, cross-functional leadership role focused on governance, transformation enablement, ethical AI adoption, and long-term organizational readiness.
This is not a technical R&D or delivery role. Instead, it centers on strategic oversight, responsible innovation, cross-functional alignment, and embedding AI capabilities into the organisation’s operating model and culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Governance: Develop and execute a comprehensive AI transformation and governance strategy aligned with Unit4’s strategy and objectives. Chair and operationalize an AI Governance Council to oversee initiative assessment, approval, and monitoring. Create principles, guardrails, escalation paths, and ethical frameworks for AI use, ensuring fairness, transparency, compliance, and lifecycle oversight. Stay ahead of AI-related regulations (e.g., EU AI Act, data governance) and ensure defensible compliance and positioning.
- Transformation & Change Enablement: Identify where AI can meaningfully support operational change, improve efficiency, and augment human roles. Work across business units to integrate AI into transformation efforts without disruption. Lead change management initiatives, collaborating with functional leaders and designated AI Champions to build readiness and adoption. Track performance and define KPIs for AI transformation initiatives in alignment with business strategy.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the central coordination point across functions (Tech, Legal, Compliance, PX, Security, etc.) to align and guide AI efforts. Set up internal forums and documentation practices to enable structured review, knowledge sharing, and learning. Partner with Legal, Security, and Compliance teams to ensure robust audits, inspections, and regulatory alignment across all operations.
- Capability Building & Culture: Collaborate with People Experience to assess skill gaps and design organisation-wide AI upskilling and learning programs. Ensure internal communications reflect consistent messaging around AI, governance, and cultural change. Help embed AI principles into employee engagement and experience programs.
- Quality, Risk & Regulatory Oversight: Lead quality assurance and governance integration into AI-related processes across the company. Oversee performance tracking and alignment with internal and external standards.
