Waymo Insurance is seeking an experienced Insurance Operations Manager to help drive our business lines from technology ideation through scaled commercial deployment. You will work with our legal, public policy, safety, security, and privacy experts to evaluate and manage risks. You will report into our Head of Claims & Insurance Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help shape the future of claims management in an autonomous world.
- Provide oversight to claims associated with insured products.
- Oversee and guide TPAs, cultivating a customer experience focused culture of excellence.
- Evaluate event data to assess risks and establish claims promptly.
- Support the development, implementation, and adherence to claims processes and technological enhancements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and insurance companies and vendors to improve and scale the claim function.
- Assist in risk management activities including underwriting data collection, contract review, insurance renewal-related work, and COIs.
Qualifications:
- 12+ years of insurance claim experience (preferably in Auto, GL, PL, WC).
- 5+ years of claims leadership experience.
- Experience creating and documenting processes.
- Strong ability to excel as an individual contributor with the potential to build a world-class team.
- Ability to obtain an insurance adjustor license.
- Experience managing multiple projects within high-growth environments.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher, J.D. preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with startups, insuretechs.
- JD, CPCU
