Full-Time International Accounting Junior Officer

International Accounting Junior Officer supports the International Accounting Lead with international country operations accounting and reporting (13 Country Offices).

Responsibilities:

• Provides advanced technical accounting and accounting system support to WWF US Country Offices (COs).
• Coordinates month-end close process with COs and performs HQ accounting tasks.
• Serves as point of contact for CO accounting and software questions.
• Coordinates with HQ IT for complex matters.
• Verifies CO deliverables for monthly closing.
• Reviews key reconciliations.
• Provides additional accounting support to offices, as needed.
• Supports the International Accounting Lead in preparing, documenting, and training CO accountants on accounting policies and procedures.
• Coordinates with offices for external audit requests.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business.
• CPA qualification is appreciated.
• 1-2 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with multiple international field offices is preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in Spanish and English.
• Excellent accounting, analytical, communication skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Must work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (e.g., Workday, Sage 300).
• Ability to interact, train, and communicate clearly with overseas staff.
• Infrequent international travel to COs may be required.
