As a Junior Accounting Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering financial expertise to our small business clients, with a primary focus on tax. This position offers diverse exposure to payroll, bookkeeping, financial statements, tax compliance, and more—all while gaining invaluable experience in the automotive and other industries.
Responsibilities:
- Tax Preparation & Compliance: Prepare personal, partnership, and corporate tax returns.
- Client Collaboration: Build strong relationships by engaging clients on tax compliance matters, conducting tax projections, and resolving inquiries.
- Financial Review: Review financial statements and assist with compilations and reviews.
- Research & Reporting: Conduct tax compliance research and assist with responses to taxing authorities.
- Team Support: Act as a bridge between Staff Accountants and Managers, ensuring seamless communication and workflow.
- Leadership Development: Present on various topics and participate in opportunities for professional growth, with a clear path to the Manager role.
Experience & Qualifications
- CPA or EA certification preferred (or willingness to pursue).
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred, but all candidates with passion and skills are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in software like Outlook, Excel, Word, QuickBooks, and tax-related platforms.
- Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiasm to grow in a fast-paced environment with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Interest in advancing to an Account Manager role.
Compensation: Starting at $26.44/hour (depending on experience). Growth potential to transition into a Manager role with commission-based compensation.
