Full-Time Lead Strategic Sourcing

Sourcing Lead (Packaging) will lead development and implementation of category sourcing strategies for defined packaging supplies categories within MasterBrand Cabinets.

Using existing tools and processes, they will ensure strategies deliver continuous value to MasterBrand and are well communicated internally/externally to support execution of the vision.

Responsibilities:

1. Leverage MasterBrand Strategic Sourcing Process/Approval standard to generate category strategies for packaging supplies categories (rigid packaging, flexible packaging).
2. Communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to design best total cost sourcing strategies.
3. Own relationship with external suppliers and their pricing impact on MasterBrand's bottom line.
4. Ensure strategies are consistently updated to reflect internal/external environment changes.
5. Ensure strategies, projects, RFIs, RFQs, and associated analysis are delivered on time and prioritized to best meet company needs given supplier capabilities and market status.
6. Identify, lead, and communicate best total cost improvement initiatives to meet company goals.
7. Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements and develop solutions meeting consumer needs (cost, service, product development, quality, risk management).
8. Ensure data is fact-based for internal/external vendor decision-making for performance enhancements.
9. Be a key contributor of change management process for product development costing.
10. Drive use of new and existing supply market data sources to improve operational performance.
11. Lead development and execution of a long-term strategy to collect, store, and utilize supply chain data.
12. Provide support to ensure compliance with policies and procedures for stakeholders, team members, and suppliers.
13. Prioritize and problem-solve various business needs as directed by Strategic Sourcing executive leadership.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Packaging or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Sourcing, Supply Chain, Packaging or related field.
• Packaging experience preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to work within Eastern Time zone hours.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the year (project-based).
• Curiosity, vision, ability to balance long-term actions with short-term needs.
• Highly motivated with desire to unlock value, refine, and transform categories.
• Total cost focus incorporating all aspects of value into decision-making (cost, quality, performance, risk).
• Strong negotiation skills, comfortable interacting with stakeholders and suppliers.
• Proven track record of successful negotiation.
• Develop strong knowledge of categories (cultural, legal, geopolitical environment).
• Strong written and verbal communication, planning, and problem-solving skills (project management related to cost).
• Effectively collaborate and drive cross-functional consensus.
