About the Team: We are seeking a Machine Learning Manager to lead the team developing Noa.ai's AI engine. Our aim is to enhance healthcare access by easing administrative burdens for doctors and clinics. The team focuses on Noa Notes, an innovative solution automating medical documentation. We utilize Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) and Large Language Models (LLMs). We have a comprehensive quality assurance and validation stack and are exploring further AI initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Progress Management: Translate company objectives into team goals, driving collaboration and a prioritized roadmap. Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring timely and high-quality execution. Oversee dataset, model, and code review to maintain quality standards. Track progress and keep stakeholders informed.
- Collaboration, Tools & Resources: Partner with software engineers, DevOps, and IT to facilitate seamless ML model deployment. Collaborate with product managers to align solutions with business needs, and deliver actionable insights. Provide the team with necessary tools, frameworks, and resources.
- Data Pipeline, Legal Compliance & Linguist Management: Oversee data gathering, processing, and labeling to meet legal requirements. Collaborate with the legal team for compliance. Manage the linguist team (through a coordinator) to ensure high-quality data annotation.
Requirements:
- Experience: 3+ years managing a data science team; 5+ years of hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, or AI development.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, focus on delivering business value, proven track record in ML model delivery, understanding of model lifecycle (preprocessing, training, evaluation, deployment). Strong time management, prioritization, and deadline management skills.
- Bonus Skills: Experience in Speech Recognition, Informatics/Algorithms Olympiad/programming competition experience, knowledge of MLOps, data privacy law (e.g., GDPR), and AI ethics.
