Post-Production Technician (Photo Editor)

Reports To: Manager
Position Overview: The post-production technician utilizes industry-standard software (e.g., Photoshop) to enhance raw images to high standards, meeting product requirements and client demands (comparing, configuring products, custom work).

- Accuracy in current department processes.
- Completing work on or before deadlines.
- Receptiveness to quality control feedback (accepting criticism and advice).
- Applying feedback to subsequent jobs.
- Providing insight and suggestions for process improvement.
Education, Experience, and Competencies: Formal or semi-formal graphic arts training is beneficial but not required (recognized certificate is an asset). Proficient in PC skills and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), raw camera download software (MAC experience is an asset). Up-to-date Photoshop experience/knowledge. Knowledge of common computer and basic internet technologies is required. Strong written, oral, and presentation communication skills. Understanding of organizational goals and objectives.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Utilizing graphics software to correct color balance, shadows, and clean-up images professionally for digital, web, and print distribution.
- Collaborating with photographers and leads throughout project lifecycle.
- Maintaining department nomenclature, format, and file organization for all images and image sets.
- Assisting in archiving and organizing photography files for all auto manufacturers (year, model, make).
- Ensuring accuracy and currency of the Autodata media image database.
- Maintaining workflow tools (Jira) with accurate comments and work hour logs.
