Full-Time Medical Illustrator

• Translate medical illustration and animation requirements.
• Create and revise medical illustrations and animations using qualified digital tools.
• Recommend creative approaches to designing materials for internal and external use.
• Develop and maintain a library of medical illustrations and animations.
• Manage design projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
• Contribute to the oversight of art and tool budgets.
• Contribute to the maintenance and content of PSI style guides.
• Conduct ongoing research and report on emerging medical illustration trends.
• Apply design skills to non-medical design projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Illustration or Fine Art highly preferred.
• Board certification in Medical Illustration preferred.
• Full working proficiency in English.
• Familiarity with human physiology, anatomy, and major systems.
• Working knowledge of digital design and animation tools including demonstrable skill with the Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent tools.
• Working knowledge of design best practices.
• Experience with 2D and/or 3D animation is preferred but not required.
• Scanning and digital photography experience useful but not required.
• Ability to participate in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical personnel.
